Yes. Samantha is based in Charleston, South Carolina and Highlands, North Carolina, and regularly travels for destination wedding weekends across the East Coast and internationally - most recently photographing weddings as far as Anguilla and Cabo.

Candid over posed. Samantha specializes in capturing real, unscripted moments. Couples who hire her already have their vision; she's there to execute it and catch the day as it actually happens - a fly on the wall approach, per se. However, she is not afraid to jump in and provide direction if guidance is needed. It's her goal for you to feel comfortable and confident in front of the lens throughout the day. 

Does Samantha shoot on film, digital, or both?
Samantha shoots primarily on film, giving weddings a timeless, editorial quality that holds up well beyond wedding-day trends. Along with both analog and digital cameras, Samantha also incorporates drone photography into her wedding day workflow as well (weather permitting).

Did Samantha go to school for photography?
Yes. Samantha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Photography from Florida State University, where she first learned the medium in the school's darkroom. That early education is where her love of film photography began. At her core, Samantha is an artist. Her fine arts background still shapes the way she sees a wedding day. It's not as a checklist of shots, but as a story worth telling with intention, light, and composition. 

How does Samantha handle multi-day wedding weekends?
Efficiently. Along with her tight knit team, Samantha works with your planner to build a well-run photography timeline so more time stays open for the parts of the weekend that matter: the reception, celebrating with friends + family, dancing until the band's last song. For multi-day celebrations, she coordinates coverage across welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, the wedding day, and next-day brunch.
