I purchased this dress from Facebook Marketplace a few years ago. The woman I bought it from was moving into a retirement home and selling off most of her belongings. When I met up with her in the Starbucks parking lot, she told me that it was her wedding dress from 1953. Her husband has recently passed so it was hard for her to let the dress go. However, she knew that it should be appreciated by someone else and given another chance to be worn. The dress is perfectly preserved.
The detail of the dress is incredibly intricate; it is composed of multiple layers of tulle and is drenched in a unique lace design. The bouquet the model (Mollie) is holding is curated with locally sourced flowers. The floral arrangement was designed with a vintage flare to accentuate the dress. The shoes are from Fendi.
While wearing it around the park, the dress seemed to take on a new life and personality. I wish I still had contact with the woman who I bought the dress from. I am sure she would absolutely love seeing it being treasured like this.
