As a Charleston wedding photographer, I’ve documented many special events in this historic city. Jeff and Danielle’s rehearsal dinner at 39 Rue de Jean was truly one for the books. The couple’s intimate gathering with their family and friends took place at the luxurious French restaurant in downtown Charleston.

Jeff and Danielle had originally planned to host their rehearsal dinner at a different location earlier in the year. Due to a fall hurricane, they had to quickly come up with a different plan with the help of their Charleston wedding planner, Lillie Simpson from Loluma Events. Despite being their plan B, everything from the food to the service was top-notch. The venue itself was absolutely stunning with a perfect ambiance for the occasion.

The restaurant exudes an old-world charm with a modern twist, making it an ideal spot for a romantic evening. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect venue for a rehearsal dinner in Charleston.

As I arrived at the Charleston rehearsal dinner venue, I was immediately drawn to the alleyway next to the restaurant. The cozy atmosphere and colorful neon signs reminded me of Italy. It was a magical spot that provided the perfect backdrop for a quick photoshoot of Jeff and Danielle. The photos turned out to be some of my favorites from the evening.

Of course, one of the highlights of the evening was Danielle’s stunning outfit. She looked absolutely stunning in her chic white lace dress paired with the cutest white cowgirl boots. Her fashion-forward choice perfectly complemented the elegant surroundings and set the standard high for anyone looking for rehearsal dinner outfit inspiration.

The warmth and love that radiated from the couple and their family and friends made it all the more special.
